I got graduated from I 140 forum/thread and happy to join this elite club. After going thru several messages, I have few questions:

1. Is it mandatory to go in for an interview after 485 approval?
2. What is passport stamping?
3. How long it takes before we actually get our Plastic?

1- No
2- Immigrant visa if there is delay in receiving GC after I485 approval (work as GC for one year)
3- Usually one week after I-485 approval (the approval itself may take few weeks up to many years or stuck forever)

The passport stamp is NOT an immigrant visa - it's just temporary proof of permanent residence and employment authorization.
