New TN Visa Aspirant - Thru Third Party Staffing Agency

Hey Experts:

I am a newbie on this forum and looking to get good direction for my first TN Visa from the seniors.

1. I have been offered a position with a client but the engagement is initially for one year contract thru a recruiting agency.
2. Initially the work will be remote until the pandemic situation normalizes and onsite after that.

Questions:
- Does that letter from recruitment agency suffice for TN Visa and acceptable by CBP?
- What documents do I need for my TN Visa appointment ?
- What specifics do I need in that letter? If anybody has any sample (for CSA category who got TN visa with success) that they can share, that would be greatly appreciated.
- Do I need to match my duties to CSA even though my area of expertise is Information Security?
- Do I need to get the TN visa before the start date even though if will be remote for a while or I can get it afterwards once client makes call for onsite?

- If I dont need the TN Visa right now until I am working remotely, do I need SSN to get paid from the recruiting agency?
- I am planning to go to Peace Bridge for TN appointment, do I need a negative Covid Test to re-enter Canada and self quarantine for 14 days?
- If I end up getting the TN Visa with a success - how can I make a request for SSN?

These are basic questions, and have been addressed here MANY times. Please go on a TN immigration site that explains all this, and come bak with a more specific question for your case.

First of all thank you for your response. However, when you say so many times I dont under stand the context. There are couple of points I called out where TN Visa is thru recruiting agency (being on C2C), not thru client for which I didn't find any direct response even though there might be similar cases in the past, found some posts but nobody responded on those at all. Secondly, please explain which TN immigration site you are referring as your direction is very generic. Last but not least, if I need to go to third party external TN site for all of these queries then I dont undertand whats the use of this forum. You might be correct that these questions might be answered in the past but there should be a FAQ section or a capability of Pin Note where if these repeated questions are coming up, responses to them are pinned to make things easier and smooth sailing for future aspirants.

google is your friend. "TN Visa" works great.

There is an admin for this site, please direct your suggestions for site improvement there. But this is not an FAQ site. The admin has a related site which explains basic immigration stuff, like what paperwork is needed. Read first.

Well I have read and was looking for advice based on people's first hand experience. Looks like you are sitting a hot burner 24*7... Simmer down and I just suggested for a FAQ section not that I said its FAQ site... Re read again first ! Thanks for nothing thou !

Anyone who asks "what documents" they need for TN hasn't read quite enough. You're welcome, though.

Since I got a three year TN approved just a month back through a staffing company I was asked the below.
a> How did you find the position?
b> How was the hiring process (Did the client interview you?)
c> How many contractors are currently working at the third party site?
d> Supporting documentation to prove client - staffing agency commitments.
e> What would happen in case the client reduced his commitment to the staffing agency midway?

Can you please help me to provide more information on point d> Supporting document to prove client - staffing agency commitment

Do not worry about this - this will be a highly "unlikely" question. And not sure if the staffing agency would give that, if client asks for it.

Why I am asking is , officer has written that on my discrepancy report that he wanted to see the contract between staffing company and client. Is there any workaround for this problem

When hired by a staffing agency, they should have a particular client in mind, They should at a minimum have put that on the TN letter). The officer has asked for proof of who you will be working for, which is reasonable. The contract can have certain specifics redacted if necessary.
