Do not give unnecessary comments. If it is not useful to you just shut up.

Point is that i am waiting since 40 days to get my card. By this Tracker I am able to understand that Dallas CIS is sending card fast. Houston is slow.
 
answer to redhat's question,

Guy, those of us that have been in this country long enough ( I've been here since 1994) know that it's not over until it is over. The 551 stamp on the passport only says "temporary evidence of legal permanent residence status" and is only valid for 1 year. The plastic card is security proof with a photo and fingerprint and is valid 10 years, at which time ( 5years)you can file for citizenship.
Knowing when the plastic card will come helps in one's peace of mind and helps plan on moving. In 1999-2000, INS actually ran out of plastic to make the cards and the waiting times were around a year and a half.

GUYS THOSE OF YOU THAT THINK WE ARE A BUNCH OF MORONS ON THIS FORUM, THINK AGAIN. I have found more info and predictability from the use ful postings here than from any lawyer.
