New thread for missing case

Chaos,

Cases go missed when officers have their files open. Mine went missing numerous times sometimes for days, some time for a single day, after finally getting appoved. Like yours mine was an EXTREMELY straight forward case. Interestingly even after approval, my case has been missing off and on for the past couple of weeks. No clue why.

My advice, forget about your case for a little while, you are probably on the verge of your approval, too much focus on something you have NO control over is probably not good for you. So check your case status only once in a couple of days, set up the email confirmation, that way you will get an email if there has been any significant movement in your case.
 
Case Missing

My I-140 (WAC0407xxxxxx - Jan 2004) has been missing from the phone system for almost a month now (485 shows up with the same status as online). My 140 and 485 (WAC0411xxxxxx - March 2004; FP - April 2004) were both missing on the online system for a couple of days but reappeared with the same status as before (140 - Your I140 was received blah blah; 485 - On May 4th we received your fingerprint review blah blah). My case is a pretty straightforward one (IMHO).

Anyone in a similar situation? Thoughts?

I check my I140 (WAC04012*****) on the phone system. It's missing too! While my I485 cases are there. I can find all my cases from online system. We are on the same boat :)

Thanks for your advice. I will try to forget it. But it's harder to do when I know something might happen to my case:)

Cases went missing again

Maybe I am paying too much attention to this !!! Cases went missing again (online - 140, 485) overnight yesterday and came back with the same status. Not getting my hopes up though :)

Seems all I-140s on phone system are missing! I randomly grab several late 2003 I-140 numbers from CSC, and check them on phone system. They are all missing! So I don't think missing I-140 status from phone system means anything :(

Chaos - how did you get the WAC numbers for the random I-140 cases (i.e. how did you find out that these were 140 cases and not something else?)

I and my wife had our FPs done on Aug 31, 2004. I called up FBI today to find that they recd and responded the same day. I sent a fax to CSC imediately thereafter. A few minutes back when I called the toll-free number, the system could not retrieve the status of my case due to a 'temporary problem'. I could inquire on the case till this morning.

So, maybe, something is cooking. Hopefully, it turns out in our favor.

You can randomly generate a case number and check the status online (there is some basic rules). The online message will tell you what type of application it is.

485_if_ever,

Did you check the I-140 case or I-485 case? I think all CSC I-140 cases are missing from the phone system. While I-485 cases are there.

I-140 LUD update

I-140 (WAC0407xxxxxx) still missing on the phone - status still the same online. However, the LUD on the I-140 has been updated to today (8th Sep). Could this be because I had sent an email inquiry and got an email response yesterday (7th Sep)? - the response was the standard 360 days and they are processing July 2003 and they process cases in order (yeah right :) ).

Hopefully not and something else is cooking !!!

My I-140 has been missing for more than 2 months - end-June '04.

I-140 RD Jan. 20 '04
I-485 RD June 15 '04
EAD/AP AD: July 15, '04
FP July 22, '04
 
I-140 missed and came back in 1 day. Two weeks passed, no stauts change, no LUD change. Case missing for nothing :(

Chaos - I am in a similar situation; 140 keeps going missing and coming back with the same status - only encouraging sign is the LUD change. BTW mine has been missing for over a month now on the phone.

I got approved!!! Case missing on 8/27/04 for only 1 day. Approved on 9/23/2004. Sorry for the bad words to INS(CIS) before :rolleyes: They are not that bad to my case.

For those who are still waiting, hang on there. Some day, good news will come. "hope is on the way" :)
