Once you get US citizanship, do you get a new social security number?
If you want to get a new SSN number, can you get one after becoming a citizen and using that as a reason for getting the new number?

I am not an expert on this, but the SSA is usually reluctant to issue new social security numbers. They might do it in case of identity theft, but I am not sure how accommodating they are now. Just a quick Internet search came with this link, old, but perhaps still relevant (not official)
