Modified Rule-Of-Thumb for Job Changes After GC!

Folks,

I've put together lots of *wise* words from JoeF and came up with a modified rule-of-thumb for job changes after GC. To top it off, JoeF himself blessed it... What more can you expect...

Without much ado, here it goes:

From the 485 approval date, stay with the employer for at least 6 months on the same job (as mentioned in LC) and at the same location. If you don't, then you are <FILL-IN-WHATEVER-SUITS-YOU>!

What if one , rigth after getting GC thru his employer sponsorship,
enlists himself and goes to war for America?

Or what about what if one, after GC , Nasa sent him to space station for more than 1 yr trip!!! Does he need to apply for reentry permit and will he loose continious residency as he is out of country for more than 6months??

Just food for thoughts ,specially for AmericanWannabe :D :D

One doesn't need a re-enrty permit if working in space for NASA because you may be in the good ol' USA every few hours (not necessarily in the US but over the US). :D

Problems only arise if you land unintentionally some where else.. Surely that has happened before? ;)

I guess USCIS has some special treatment for "illegal aliens" that NASA brings from space :D
