New PP but appointment with old PP

I took appointment for my wife 's H4 interview at Mumbai consulate giving her existing Passport # but after that when I go to endorsing my name( husband) on her Passport ..the passport office s issuing her a new PP altogther ! In this case, what happens to the Old appointment I took wit the old PP# ..i s it still valid /can I go with new PP on the old appointment or do I ve to take a new appointment altogher with new PP# ?

--yes they will give new PP copy with new PP#
In this case, what happens to the Old appointment I took wit the old PP# ..i s it still valid /can I go with new PP on the old appointment or do I ve to take a new appointment altogher with new PP# ?
