Hi
I already have a TN permit with another company and now while I am in Pakistan, I have another job offer letter which I have already accepted. They have sent me the TN job letter.
My flight is directly to USA and I do not have the time to go to USA and then go to Canada and get a new permit. The day I arrive in USA, I have to join the job. Is it possible to ask for a new TN permit at the time of immigration at the airport?

Is it possible to get a new TN permit when I arrive in USA.

Entry on TN is like entry on any other status. All POEs *should* be able to admit you.

The problem is that it is so rare for Tners to apply upon arrival in US (as opposed to Cdn airport PFI or border POE) that most airport POEs are reluctant to process a fresh TN.

You might want to call the airport CBP office and warn them of your intentions and see what they say.

But, barring getting a new TN at the airport on arrival, you will not be able to begin this second job without getting that TN.

Also, do not give up your current TN job just yet, or you could see your self denied entry due to lack of status.

Great advice, nelsona.

Call ahead to the port of entry - here is govt site with the list of port of entrys:

- Make sure they will be able to process your TN Application

Another option is fly into Canada (as a connecting flight) and then into the U.S. This way you will be entering the US at the Canadian airport and applying for your TN Status at that time.

This typically adds $100's to the price of an International flight.
