I wish U good luck for fast I-140 and I-485 process. Hope u get ur GC soon.

I have heard of my friends that now a days there are issues in getting LC if the filling category is Programmer Analyst (Software). Probably becoz there is access american labor in the market with this Category or the laguage skill set in this category like VB skillset may be in access and not Java.

So just wanted to check out what category u filed ur labor with.

Mine was was filled as Programmer Analyst (Software) with skill sets of VC++, VB and ASP.

I follow this forum very regularly. I learnt that mirium99 got a RFE. Was wondering if it is something to do with the issue mentioned above. I think it would be great if we all could add the skill category to the above xls sheet.

If any body could put some focus on this. Thanks in advance.
 
Bad news from NJ DOL

NJ RIR : Lawyer got info form NJ DOL saying that some qualified candidates are available. No more details than that at this. I am trying to get more details.

Skill set: C++/VC++ Programmer analyst filed may 16, 2001

Please let me know if any one has similar situation, if so what will be next approach?

Any suggestions please?

Hi karora40888,

My RFE is with regard to the qualification. My degree is not in Computer Science, but in Mech Engg.

They have asked to document how this qualifies for the position.

More info from Lawyer.

Asked to increase the wage, NJ DOL says that wage increased in last two years.

NJ DOL intends to treat my case as Non-RIR.

Need to wait for NJ DOL instructions for Advertisement.

ANYONE HAS SIMILAR SITUATION? PLEASE SHARE YOUR THOUGHTS.

Any new approvals?

NJ AVM says, they are working on cases(RIR) filed as of June 2001.

did anyone else hear from lawyer about your May 2001 cases?

I haven't heard anything!

Does this mean, all (those who have not heard from their lawyers so far ) May 2001 cases have been moved to NY DOL for final processing?

Mine was filed as RIR case-
Position : Programmer Analyst
Salary : 70k
Skills : in vb ,C,C++, Oracle, Access, html, FoxproUnix, WinNT
 
Prevailing wage

The prevailing wage for my LC application's job title has increased 10% in 2003 compared with 2002.
The salary in my app is the same as 2002's prevailing wage.
Will I definitely get rejected or REF ?

The message on the AVM at NJ SESA actually says they are processing RIR cases received "before" June 1, 2001. So, it appears that they are still processing May, 2001 RIR cases.

Monoco,

DOL AVM says that the RIR cases are being pocessed before June, 2001. They didnt say June 01, 2001.
This is FYI. It sounds like they passed June 01, 2001 or so.

Please listen the msg carefully...!

AVM says before JUNE 2001 not JUNE 1 2001.

Just got this news from my attorney:

Received at NJ SESA - 06/14/2001 (PD)
Received at NY DOL - 03/20/2003
 
JUNE RIR

This is a very positive News ! A case submitted on June 14, 2001 (jsdg78) has been certified. It seems like we will be in July by the end of this month - maybe more. Keep your fingers crossed !
