I wish to know how many illegal immigrants would go back and pay 10 grand. From my woman's point - you can invest this money into yourself and get married with a nice US citizen.

Except that if you crossed the border illegally marrying a citizen does not help you under current law (though the proposed immigration reform would change that).

Increased campaign contributions

I am afraid one of the intended beneficiaries of this proposal is the US airline industry. The law would also require that when you leave the country and eventually return, you need to fly a US carrier (Continental, United, Delta, etc). As most of these carriers are in financial problems, the revenue generated by the estimated 24 million flights (flights to and from by the estimated 12 million undocumented persons) would put these carriers in the black, allowing them to have profits to make campaign contributions to those who want to succeed the "Bushies."

How about that? Is not that swell!
