Need your help- Steps after Recommended Approval

Assylum, I wish you could get it. Its not a matter of time line to receive the initial decision. He's worried about the child.

bafoussam,
Of course I did get it.
Raziel already gave him an alternative solutions. Those alternative solutions will work because he got the recommened approval (positive response).

It is tough alternative solution but it is better than nothing. He would not have this alternative solution if he had not received the intial decision or if he had been referred to a judge. So I do say that he is in much better situation than those who are still waiting or those who got referred to a judge

to clear it more for you... even if the average time frame was 1 day "and not 4 weeks", they will not take action in any delayed case only after 90 days.

They will have to take an action if I request an interim EAD. I don't know if this law still exist or no.

As far as I know, if the first EAD C8 application is pending more than 30 days, then the applicant can request an interim EAD right?

Back in the days, FIRST EAD was issued in 5 minutes at the local asylum office upon granting asylym(walk- in).
May be that rule still exist?

It took 18 months for my dad to receive his final approval.

Darren Fletcher, are you a Scotsman?

Do they still have a big backlog of name chech requests? I thought they already implemented a system to expedite the name check process. If it is true, then the final approval should not take that long anymore (7-18 months) right?

The.Walker:
No, I am not.

My lawyer says it will take several week (up to 10) to get final approval. I think she is too optimistic, but most of the time she was right in the past.

7 month 18 month experiences scare me.

Let's hope my lawyer and assylum are right!

Fletcher, things have changed and the processing times have improved significantly but don't count on your lawyer's words.

Hello everybody!
It is a beautiful day!
I received the final approval! I also received a letter saying I will automatically receive EAD within 7-10 days which will be valid for 2 years. Final letter says, I can apply to SSN, various resettlement programs and etc. Next stop is to file an application for our child.
Thank you all and good luck to everybody.
So, my time-line looks like this:

Hello everybody!
It is a beautiful day!
I received the final approval!

Congratulations.
Did you check the status online using your asylum application receipt#?
What does it say????

I used mine and it says "case can't be found".
BTW, I am still waiting for a final approval.

Thanx!
Actually, I didn't check before and so did only after you asked.

it says

you case status: Document production or Oath Ceremony

On October 14, 2009, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283.

tbf, i have no idea what this means. What I know is, tomorrow I go to the SSA and apply:).

Hopefully, you will also receive the final approval soon! If you remember, The Walker earlier wrote that the process is becoming speedy. He seems right.

Sirs,
I need you advise again regarding RTD.
Where I can travel with RTD and how I can obtain visas? For example to UK?
Do I still have to use my NP with RTD?
Finally, how will it affect to my case when I apply for PR/GC?
Thanks alot in advance!

Darren!

you don't need to use NP "even you shouldn't"

as for visas check this thread http://forums.immigration.com/showthread.php?t=202208 and you can obtain a visa by contacting the country embassy

and there is no negative effect on your case, travelling outside USA will delay your GC since you should stay for 1 year physically before applying for the GC

travelling to COP could get you into troubles.

Raziel,

Thanks bro! That link is very informative!
We will patiently wait 1 year period for GC.
And we don't realize our life is passing by.
