Just a quick query if I should be worried since my Notice Date is December 1, 1999 and last update July 7, 2004 for FP and nothing after that. I am seeing a lot of people getting approved with ND way after mine. Any suggestion will be higly helpful.
 
NYMD..Contact the 1-800 number ASAP and tell them that the USCIS website says the case dates is DEC 1999 and you haven't gotten anything. They can send a referral...Have your receipt date in handy.

DO it asap because the referral takes 30 days...

Your case is probably assigned to an incompetent idiot. Stay tough and your time will come one day!
 
I've called them on several occasions and they keep telling me that the processing date has to be 30 days past my ND before they submit an inquiry. That means unless the date changes to January 1st, 2000, I have no recourse. Any suggestions?
 
I can offer you 2 suggestions. #1 write a letter or #2 LIE!!...
Call the 1-800 number and tell them you dont' know your LIN# and know your A# and filed a I-485 November of 1999..ask them for a referral..

IF they dont refer your case then give your LIN# put say your DATE is Nov/99.

This is just my advise so take it if you wish. These ppl at the 1-800 number don't know SHIT..so usually IF you find a nice person(female usually) she can help you..The males are always tough to help you.
 
Actually that's a very good suggestion. I will try that tommorrow. I stayed on hold today for 25 minutes before getting disconnected. I'll let you guys know what happens.
 
Well, I was able to talk to the specialist but she didn't offer any help. Instead of taking the referrel she told me to write the Nebraska service center and request my LIN number. Oh, I am so frustrated with this system. Thanks for all your help.

Its time we get tough with USCIS. I suggest you go to your congressman and tell him that people with May 2000 are getting approved. I even saw people from Oct 2000 are getting RFIs.
Man with your dates, I'll be so pissed right now if I were in your shoes. You have a lot more patience than I do.
