A friend of mine wants to apply for asylum but he doesn't have a permanent address. I don't want to use mine because I am already in the system.

Can he use a PO BOX instead? Does USCIS accept PO boxes?

So, he lives under the bridge? :D

Maybe, what you mean is that he moves a lot. He should put his address and change it anytime needed. Or find a close friend or relative that lives close by and put that address. However, USCIS wants the address where you live permanently.

Some of my friends use a mailbox address and use that for all immigration application. I mean he can open a mailbox at mailbox etc or something like that where they let him use their street address as address and mailbox# as Suite# or something like that. And he doesn't have to worry about moving and changing addresses everytime. I don't think he can use a P.O.Box number though. Good luck to your friend.

The will accept a PO box for mailing address, but they want a street address as well. See the forms; its clearly spelled out.
