Need Help --Travelling to India Using AP

Hi,
Planning to travel to India next month using Advance Parole, did anyone face any kind of problems while returing backto U.S.
What are all the precautions to be taken before leaving.
Any help is Appreciated.

----take all the copies of AP, I-485 filing reciept, if you have EAd take that also and your passport and airline ticket, credit card

I had traveled using the AP several times over a 3 year period. They had to append new sheets to my AP for additional stamping. Never had a problem, except for the fact that you are taken for Secondary Inspection.
Only once was I asked for an EAD and I never ever gave a copy of the AP at any time, I just used one copy all the time and they stamped it.
I have re-entered the US at different cities depending on where I traveled and how the bookings were done.
 
I have travelled using AP several times, and there is not a problem really.

The first time, I have used the AP, they had done the secondary inspection, and the way it went is as below:

1. The INS Official, at the regular counter took a look at the AP, and then checks in the computer (I am not really sure what he looks for).

2. He asked me to follow him to the room where other INS Officials were sitting their rooms. I was made to sit in the lobby area, and my passport was put in the Queue (there were some others with different things). He pleasently told me, "we will get you going really quick".

3. I was called in after a minute or two, and asked some general questions -
a. Who is your employer
b. Who sponsored your green card
c. How long you have been working for
d. Who was your employer prior to the current one
e. Where do you reside in the US?

4. He had recorded this on the camera ( he told me before asking the questions).

That is it, he had stamped on my passport, and the AP.

I travel every week from Canada, and they keep stamping on the AP (where ever they can find space)

No Problems

I had no problems with AP to return back to US. For precautionary measure, I have taken lot of paperwork like Employment Letter, All EAD's, W2's, I-485 receipt notice, I-140 approval notice, Labor approval notice, current pay stubs, Drivers License, Passport, tickets, 2 AP's and so on.

Everbody asked only passport, AP, and tickets. That's it.

Hi,
Do you all know if address(zipcode) on AP is printed incorrect really matters at POE.
my attorney is taking time to reply and iam scared about it now and i need to know it promptly,
Some one please share your thoughts , i would appreciate it .

I got a 245i LIFE Act letter from INS back in October 2003 stating that I worked without authorization therefore I was penalized $1000 and my job sent I485 supplement A...because of this I was told that there's a risk that I may not be able to re-enter US (if I travel abroad) even if I have an approved Advance Parole. Have you guys heard of this?

I was planning to go to HK in August but I'm worried now after hearing this info.

Please advise

Should we get Transit Visa for EWR - Mumbai fight stopping at Paris, if we are on EAD?

Please someone let me know, as we dont hav any time for visa processing?

Question for Tejas,

1.Which port of entry that you use in US coming from Canada? How much time do they take? Is it land terminal or airport?

2. You said, you had secondary inspection the first time. Was it while coming from Canada?
