Children under 14 and people 79 and older do not get fingerprinted. It is as simple as that.

Good Luck, I hope the process is quick for you. When it gets approved, they will backdate the greencards by one year which means the time will be shorter for waiting to apply for naturalization.

Need help!!!

Hi, my history goes like this:I am from Eritrea and I was granted asylum by an immigration judge 6 months ago in Texas & at that time the judge gave me only a paper that states my approval but not the I-94, afterward I moved to California and I applied there for I-94 but there was a problem: i.e. my country took its independence from the colonialist neighbor Ethiopia in 1991, so at the time of my birth I was Ethiopian but currently I'm Eritrean. so when I went to give my finger print inorder to have the I-94 the officer woman there wants to put Ethiopia as my country of citizenship and I told her to put Eritrea instead but she says "in the system there is only Ethiopia but not Eritrea and she added that I have only two options either Ethiopia or None and I repeatedly told her to put Eritrea but she told me she can't. I am realy confused what to do please any advise????
