Need help on EAD.

Hey all,
I need some guidance here. My current status is that I have applied for I-485 in TSC , got the I-485 receipt very recently. I wasn\'t allowed to apply for EAD along with my I-485 due to company\'s policy . Mainly, because of their poor thinking, fueled by my lawyer\'s wrong inputs to them. They think EAD means "Pass to fly out of the nest". So I ended not applying for EAD along with I-485. But now, I want to, but would like to keep it to myself and wouldn\'t want the company know that I\'m applying for EAD.

My Questions:
a) Considering the status/situation I\'m in, what is the best option to apply for EAD ?
b) Remember, I-485 was filed with G-28 (Lawyer\'s representation...some like that). Is filing EAD seperately(out of I-485 loop) allowed ?
c) I think I could do it with just the I-485 receipt. Has anyone done this before ? If so , who gets the EAD related correspondence from INS, (All my 485 stuff goes to my lawyer).

Answers for in_queue,

a) You can apply for EAD on your own. See the INS site (forms I765 and I131), download the forms and instructions, read up how to send documents to INS in the same site and send them.

b) Each application requires a separate G28. So if you do not enclose the G28 , then the receipts, approvals, RFEs will come to your address for that application (see the EAD/AP form it will be clear to you)
c)I did. Lawyer has not got anything related to my EAD and AP so far. You can do with the copy of I485 receipt (mine was a copy of a poor fax, but I wrote the SRC of I485 receipt and A# boldly on it)

Jaxen,
Thanks for the reply. It is precise and to the point, which is so hard to find these days.
