Need help finishing my interview outfit. Ladies??

"Dumb Americans" - as most of stereotypical generalizations - is not true. if you take people in general - all nations have about the same ration of "dumb" or "smart" people.

Great diversity and vast variations of human behavior and multiple intelligence types - are a biological tool of preserving human species (and life in general) on earth.

in abstract case when everybody thinks and behaves in the same (even "perfect" way) when disaster strikes - they will all do same thing and possibly- it could be wrong thing, and they all extinct.

I think GhanthaBro was specifically referring to current president and choice of presidential candidates.
I like the way these threads get so off topic from original question..it's quite entertaining.:D

By now I have figured out two things to not talk about them on this board.
1st) Cemetery
2nd) Clothing

Do I look dumb if I ask if I need to take any papers to my interview? I have a realy seriouse life and it has been hard on all of us. Lets chill...

Got my interview outfit all figured out but not the shoes. I'm planning on wearing a casual Summer business suit which is nice and classy but not business stuffy. My dilemma are the shoes. All I have are sandals which I wear all year long. Collection includes flats, low heels, mid heels, and high heels. Feet and toes are always neat and nicely pedicured. So, would it be acceptable to wear some classy sandals to the interview? We are talking about no socks or stocking. BTW, I would not prefer to buy any shoes which are closed in since I would never wear them again anyway. :D Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I have reason to believe you are 300 pound scary women....:D:D:D

I'm thinking of going commando at my oath..what you think? :D

If you had only mentioned it in your application, you might have got expedited military processing.:D

Seriously though, the way they are ripping us off, we really ought to wear shreds. And those of you who, like catmom, have THREE MONTH processing timelines: well, you owe it to the rest of us to spend $675 or so on your oath outfit. Make it worth it.

ah country very soon will have another dumb American.

GhantaBro, I don't know why you made such a rude and insensitive statement; especially since you don't know a thing about me. After today, I won't be coming back here since I don't appreciate being insulted, and I need to focus on my interview in a more positive environment. I could sit here and throw insults back at you, but I don't do that to people. Never have and never will. Yes, your statement is both insulting and rude, but let me remind you that it's not an attack on you, just the words.

When I applied for my citizenship, I expected a one to two year wait for just an interview. And when things began to move faster than expected, the process became both more exciting and stressful. This forum has been wonderful during the citizenship journey. Sharing information with other applicants is very relaxing and soothing. In all,

thanks everyone for all the help you have given me. Good luck on your journeys.

BTW, I love sandals, but not because I'm a 300 lb scary woman.:D In real life, I'm actually a really nice and slender person with a great sense of humor-up to a point.:)

300 lb, in case you couldn't get approval in the same day you can actually take it to street and show them how the real immigrant woman can defend herself.

to catmom3 (sorry if i got the 'name' wrong)
you get posters like this from time to time. you dealt with it well, by ignoring and not firing back. you ought to come back, ask, post questions etc. yours was a perfect answer. these things matter, first impression IO gets of us, the way we speak, mannerisms etc. all part of process.
before i came to this country an american expatriate friend of mine had said "now don't go getting 200+ when you get there.' to this day, i still get emails from friends who have not seen me in years asking whether i have gained weight. it's just a conception or misconception people have of this society, just like most people have for different societies. nothing to fret about. we all hope one day, better sooner than later we become part of this society and can move on stress-free without piles of documents :) and their copies, and copies and copies.
