i am new to this site and i am very happy to have stumbled upon it. Here is my story, i came to the united states on an f-1 visa in 2002 my passport expired in 2004 but my i-94 says d/s and my i-20 expired in 06. I was brought here by a sponsor with whom i stayed for the duration of my studies.i graduated with an AA degree in 2005 but my sponsor refused to pay my fees for the final semester because he couldn't sponsor me anymore and he wanted to ship me back home, so i was only able to get my degree but not my transcripts. he told the international director not to help me get an OPT or any form of help, my only choice was to run away.
Fast fwd,i got a job using my SS that says valid with authorization, tho i had no authorization.I met my bf at work in 06 but we became serious last yr and now we r planning on getting married this month, i have no clue on where to begin, what to file or what i need. i have no family here so no one was able to tell or teach me the anything, i was a destitute for a while but things r doing ok, it cud have been far worse.
i just need advice on what to do regarding this whole process, i am so confused and overwhelmed.so any advice will be greatly appreciated. Sorry for the long story
