Need compliance letter from Japan....Help...

HI There, I got my green card in Febuary 2007 and I need to get a complaince letter from Japan Honda so that I can import my 1991 Honda Civic.....I have no idea who to call or write to!! Is there anyone out there that could help me? I would like to give the car to my kids so they can drive it
 
Just buy another car in the US. In addition to the cost of shipping it, the Civic you want to bring from Japan will have the steering wheel on the right, making it tougher to drive for young drivers who are already at risk from their inexperience. That would probably drive up the insurance rate as well.

Why import ?
it may meet most of DOT and EPA standard, but I don't think it will be 100% satisfied. you have to fix it which will cost.
Those cars could be registered as kit car like AC cobra replica, imported Skyline GTR, etc. etc., but I believe it has the annual quota, for example, 500 in california.
