Need advice urgent on B1 extension

Hello friends,
I came to US on B1 10 years multiple entry visa but got just one month entry at POE.I applied for extension after a week ,did not get a receipt yet but I certainly wish to leave with in a month after my I94 expires.Is it fine if I leave before the decision .What effects can it have on my future visits.My I 94 expires on 17th may.I dont think I will get the receipt before that.What should I do.I have copy of I 94.Earliest Replies will be Appreciated.
 
Thanks for the response,But i mentioned that I want to leave after my I94 expires but with in a month or so .My concern is That I will be finishing my job before the time the decision on my application is made and I shall be leaving US. Is there any provision that you can withdraw your application after your I94 expires and can leave.
 
Ouch!!! Should have sent a copy. Anyway, just keep proof of your departure from the US (boarding pass) handy when you visit the US again.
 
Can we send copy of i-94 ?

The insturctions says we need to submitt the original I-94 ? Can we send a copy instead ? Please clarify.

I do know the general instructions on I-539 say "original or copy". However the specific B-1/B-2 instructions say "original". I know people who have gone either route and successfuly got an EOS. You make the call.
