Hello MY ND is MAY 2001 and I just saw my "last updated" changed to todays date. It hasn't changed since I Did my fingersprints in June 2004....What does this mean???..I hate this "excitement" and feeling of "freedom" I get when this happens. I feel like I should take off my clothes and run Nude around the neighborhood!...Ihope it means I am getting a RFI Or RFE?

Lazerthegreat..did your online thing said "sent rfi"??? Mine doesnt say anything like that....It says last updated to "03/15/2005" and it says the following:

On June 9, 2004, the results of your fingerprint review for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were received, and processing has resumed on your case. We will mail you a notice if further action is needed, or when a decision is made.

Why in the world Immigration Does this??...y are they playing with our minds man?? Whats all this RFI CRAP??..i am so happy and pissed that it doesnt mean shit..

NO! It does not mention any RFI sent or even FP I had last year (may 05): Right now (and ever always) it says:

"Your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status was received on October 19, 2000. We mailed you a receipt with information about processing. It is taking between 570 and 600 days for us to process this kind of case. We will mail you a decision as soon as processing is complete"

This sure is an emotional rollercoaster and I am very skeptical when its going to end. Its amazing to see how these high school drop-out clerks can make fairly educated people feel like crap for having a privilege to live in THEIR country.

From now on I will NOT be excited UNTIL I would be walking out of CIS office, holding I-94 card with Permanent Residency stamp on it.

this is important

this is important to you, wantmygcnow, I highly suggest,

When that day finally comes when your appointment is up and your I-94 card is getting stamped with permanent residency, don't forget to bring a highly qualified physician (with strong muscles is plus) with you. Tell him something very unusual and unpredictable might happen at the CIS office and you will need him.

:D :D :D :D :D :D

wantmygcnow, what happened in your case is they updated your finger print status now instead of 10 months ago.
Mine has the same information as yours but it was updated right after I did my finger print in July.
So take it easy nothing unusual is happening.

I laughed my ass off

I like your comment about running Nude.

I can't stop laughing because I feel the same.

I got RFE last month and they received my response on March 1. Now I feel like I'm sitting on needles, I've been checking my status every couple of minutes for the last two weeks.

Best regards,
Alex
