Hello Everyone -

I don't see a current timeline for Columbus and/or Ohio. Please post your status here.

I just mailed my form yesterday. So nothing as of yet from me :p

Just a basic question though, I mailed through UPS w/o a return receipt. Will this cause problems in terms of tracking? I thought my check being cashed would've been a good indicator of receipt. But in some people's cases sometimes checks are not cashed for months. :eek: I hope it was not a bad judgement on my part...

9jaman - thanks for the info...i have a better idea now. i made the mistake of not sending it with a return receipt and don't even know if they have received it. i am quite nervous about it. the phone line is a vicious circle of prompts. i can't get a person to talk to and ask about it... :(

what exactly does Ol and Od stand for?

wow, your processing went really quickly. that makes me happy. did you have it expedited for some reason?

! Wow ! things are moving along fast ! Anyone who is experiencing this in CMH? Is there a possibility that my Interview Date will be scheduled as quickly?
 
Here is my appoximate timeline last year to give you guys an idea:

March 27,2007 - application mailed
April 1, 2007 - notice date
April 17-20, 2007 - FP done
May 10-15, 2007 - Interview Letter Received
June 25-30, 2007 - Interview Date
Mid August, 2007 - Oath (had name change requested, might be earlier for some)

I talked to a friend of mine...her process went by extremely fast also. She got her interview date 2 weeks after her fingerprint...*cross fingers*

I had my interview today. It went pretty smoothly. IO went to the same high school as me, so we ended up talking about our high school teachers. He asked me 6 questions, asked met to write down "I drove a blue car" and I had to read a line. Then we had a little bit of chat about India, as his friend was going to India for summer school/internship.

I had forgotten to attach my photos with N400 application. I was expecting the IO to make a big issue, but he was cool about it. He said that even if I had forgotten to get the photo or the photo was not according to the required specifications, he would have asked me to run down the street to CVS to get another photo taken.

Also, at the end of the interview I was handed N-652 (Naturalization Interview Results) with two checks: "You have passed the tests of English and US history and government" and "Congratulations! Your application has been recommended for approval."

The whole process was very easy and the IO was very helpful and understanding

I had my fingerprinting done on Thursday. I am waiting for the letter :)
 
Anyone in Columbus DO waiting for the Interview Letter?

Anyone under Columbus, Ohio DO waiting for the Interview Letter? According to the website, their latest processing time is July 20, 2007. It seems it is one of the fastest DOs in the NSC region.
 
COLOH - I am...I gave my fingerprints on 4/17. And I have not yet received the interview letter. I keep looking online for my case status but it is not yet updated.

Someone at work applied beginning of March and their interview was this week. That is speedy!

4/1/08 - notice of action mailed
4/17/08 - FP scheduled/given
Waiting for IL...
