Naturalization with DUI and DWLS Convictions

Hi everyone. I have sent the N400 naturalization application and the FingerPrint appointment letter is on its way. However, I do have a DUI and DWLS charge after the DUI was convicted. I was also thrown in jail 2 times as well. Below are the detail of my criminal records:

5-2-2009 DUI charged (But I pleaded guilty on 12-31-2009)

11-15-2009 Driving While License Suspended ( Since I didn't plead guilty to DUI so this offense doesn't count into the probation)

12-28-2009 to 12-31-2009 Warrant of Failing To Appear in court, was arrested at the SFO airport when I was entering the U.S. from Hong Kong. I was in the jail for 3 days since I was waiting for the judge.

3-1-2010 to 3-5-2010 Missed the Work Alternative Program (community service) which ordered by the court, then I finished this sentence in Contra Costa county jail in CA.

I have successfully finished the 3 year probation for both the DUI and DWLS on 12-31-2012.
I paid all the fines, finished the DUI schools and jail sentences. I also have my license reinstated.

I also googled and found out that both DUI and DWLS are not considered as CIMT as long as these 2 offenses are taken separately.

However, I am still worrying, do you guys think that I can be naturalized with these criminal records? Also they are not CIMT, but in fact I do have 2 misdemeanors within this 5 years.

Also, my main concern is, will 2 misdemeanors affect naturalization and moral character?

I know some people who successfully become citizens with DUI, but I don't know will it be a different story if DWLS is added after DUI.

Thank you!

My uncle had 2 dui's and he got his citizenship.

I in the other hand, had my interview yesterday, had a very pleasant officer but I was arrested in 2009 for simple assault and my case was dismissed / not guilty in the courts.
I brought in my court disposition with the raised seal from the courts and she said she needed to see the police report.

The police report is obviously going to make me look bad but there was nothing I could do, I sent it in last night, overnight.

She gave me problems for having a simple assault that was dismissed and it was my only arrest.

I hope someone can help you out and I hope to get some answers as well.

Good luck!

I feel you have applied little early. As you had completed probation only on 12/31/2012 you have to complete 5 years after that . IO may reject naturalization on moral character.

all i can say is good luck

i am not an immigration officer and don't know their criteria, but from reading your post, i know you won't like what i have to say, but all i can see is someone who has complete disregard for the law.

it's one thing to get a dui, it's a calculated and flagrant act to get a dwls and shows disregard for the laws, but that wasn't good enough for you, you then "fail to appear' but you have no problem traveling overseas then you miss the work alternative program

are you serious???

to be blunt, if you were applying for a job from me, i wouldn't hire you

i can't see how you will get your citizenship until you wait the 5 years minimum and demonstrate you can adhere to the laws.

on the other hand, if they give you citizenship, go out immediately and buy yourself a powerball ticket, as you want to take advantage of the lucky streak
