Dear All,

Can someone PLEASE Answer my queries :
Highly appreciated.

Q1) How many days before completing exact 5 years, can a person apply for Citizenship??? Or it can only be applied after 5 yrs have actually over?

Q2) How long is it taking to get the Citizenship in Santa Clara County?? If one applies in Sept then when should one expect the fomalities to be over?

Q3) Is it recommended for a person to marry after he has applied for citizenship and not gotten it yet, Or it is recommended that the girl waits till the person gets the citizenship? ( Girl is from outside USA)

Q4) Incase you recommend the person to marry while he has applied for Citizenship, would you recommend what she should do to stay with him in US? ( Girl is from outside

A3: As far as the N-400 adjudication is concerned, it makes no difference

Thank you so much to all of you for taking time and replyin back.

1) the current status of the Guy is a GC , and the girl is from outside India.

As you said, citizenship to come in say march, then if the person gets married in Nov , can the wife stay with him in US on B2 for say 6 months, and by that time will be april....wouldnt that idea suffice????

Please please suggest, if there is any wrong thinking here !!
