No he did not move. He doesn't plan on becoming a citizen either.

May be your father knows the reason that if he apply for US citizenship his Green Card will be in problems. May be his original employer filed complaint with USCIS. May be he submitted fake documents to get GC and later employer informed USCIS. It can be anything and your father knows about it. I am not saying that one must file for US citizenship many don’t apply and remain on GC.

Ok thanks for all your comments!
Now.. one more question... let's say the officer doesn't file anything else just closes the case... will this be an issue when renewing the GC?

The n400 didn't know my fathers employment. At the interview I was asked what my father does and I said he has his own business, which was why the officer wanted proof that he worked for sponsoring company.

I think it just explained it. I believe that soem part of a-file of everyone who got the GC as primary applicant is also part of A file of derivatives GC recipients. This IO may have good instinctcs and since he knew the applicant's father's GC was Employment based so he automatically
got alterted when applicant told him his father had his own business.
Normally this should not be a problem if the GC was obtained 20 years ago
but in this particular case plus something maybe already fishy. the IO decided to ask for additional evidence. Unfortunately the applicants could not provide it

Why don't you file it when the time comes and find out?:rolleyes: I am done sympathizing with your situation.

It is also possible his father's petioner once made a complain to USCIS.
USCIS did not bother to take action but that complain is in the A file
of his father and perhaps his father's A file carry over that to his derivatives'
A file (not to mention the possibility that maybe USCIS make complete copy of
primary's A file into each derivatives'a A file)

I give up on your case. It is either you know that your father commited fraud and your motive for being in this board is to try to scheme your way into US citizenship or you are just a hard-headed dude who has no respect for other people's time or efforts. We have been asking you to provide details, but you want us to opine or somehow have some telepathy to forsee the actions of an immigration officer tasked with enforcing immigration laws.

Given that you aren't willing to provide any detailed information, I shed no tears for you and whatever USCIS is going to do. I hope he follows up on your case, because if the govt is asking for information, bet your butt that you produce that information. There is a reason your father never applied for US citizenship, which is that it would create problems for him which are now visiting you. Good luck and I won't be bothered by this crap you have a propensity for here... When the crap hit the fan, you better have sheetproof clothes... You can't get away with fraud when dealing with USCIS, it will catch up with you and it won't be pretty..

my family received GC through my father (employmentbased). We are still GC holders. My father worked for the company for 20 years but quit (to start own business) a couple of years after moving to US.
When did your father quit? Before he got his GC, or after he got his GC? If it was after his GC approval, how long after?

Will you provide some simple clear answers? If you answered questions in the interview with the kind of half-empty and ambiguous statements like you are giving here, it is no surprise the interviewer suspected something was wrong.

so will this be an issue when renewing GC?

With the way this conversation is going, seems like a waste of time. Anyway, here's what could happen

#1. They can initiate deportation proceedings against you and your father (and other members of the family).
#2. They can refuse renewal of GC when due
#3. They do not do anything against you - however the odds of this are low if I sense your "body language" - there is likely something against your case in the A file which will not disappear in a few years.

Need more details about your Father case and we need Sequence of events to understand.

1. Who filed his LC/I-140? Employer A or B
2.Did he work after GC with employer who filed his GC or with A or B or not with A or B but started his own business?
3. Who filed his I-140? Employer A or B? Then at what stage he left A or B? After filing I-485?
4. Date your Father I-140 got approved
5.Date your father filed I-485 and date your I-485 was filed
6.were you on H4 and filed your I-485 with your father I-485?

7Date your father changed the employer after I-485 filing? When did he change?
8. Did your father filed AC21? Does he know about AC21
9. The date your father got GC approved...
10. The date your GC got approved...
11.The date you filed N400
12.Where was your Interview? Let us know the State where your interview was conducted.
13 Why your father did not got US citizenship or filed N400? Does he know he may have problems with his GC?
14. Write the full information that is on N400 denial letter.

Funny thing is, everybody had time to write messages in detail, more than the OP who got denied. :) :)

Why you don’t post the answer to questions?
Why you don’t want to post and still need help?
Or it is another balloon episode?

This is one of the outlier threads where the OP is not asking how to contest the CIS decision, not asking whether he needs a lawyer, now asking how to respond to CIS for a specific issue - but is interested in what they will do a few years down the line. Speaks for itself.

OP, You have not stated your case with any clarity in spite of repeated requests. You also have therefore wasted a huge amount of collective time of poster here. If you do get deported, no one here will shed any tears.

He was a kid who got the green card thru his father. He may not know
much details as those of us who got the gc on our own so he can not
state clearly what really is the case.

Down the road of life, any of us can run into disasters so let's not
be too hard on anyone else. He may be awkward or embarassed to
provide more details but I don't think it is nice to just say "you
deserve it if you get deported".
