I would like to know these information:

1. The request for name change takes longer than not request for name change or the same?
2. If one requests to change his name on N-400, but he changes his mind, then could he request to keep his original name at the interview?

It depends on DO as some DOs have to schedule judicial oath with the Federal courts, which takes longer.

2. If one requests to change his name on N-400, but he changes his mind, then is it possible to keep his original name at the interview?

You can withdraw name change request at interview.
