Update on my application

PD: June 3, 2002
FP: Aug 23, 2002 at the Arlington, VA ASC
Interview: June 24, 2003 Arlington INS

Was given a paper with the officer's name
saying
1. passed the tests
2. congratulations, you are being recommended for naturalization
approval.

Was told that should expect a letter for oath ceremony in
2-3 months with a 3-week or so leadtime for the ceremony.

Is that the normal experience at the Arlington, INS?

Final Update on my application

PD: June 3, 2002
FP: Aug 23, 2002 at the Arlington, VA ASC
Interview: June 24, 2003 Arlington INS

Inquired in person on October 12 re status
and was told the application is in process.

Got letter for oath schedule end of October.
Oath: Nov 20, 2003.

Ceremony had 200 people. Saw some empty numbered
seats. Was required to surrender the GC and there
was a check of the questions. Saw one person who
had the letter but name was not on the list. The conclusion
was happy. The ceremony is in the GMU building at
3401 N. Fairfax drive. My choice was to go there by
metro (Virginia Square - GMU on orange line). This was a wise
choice since parking is quite limited and could explain some
of the missing seats. Immediately after I registered to vote.
