Hi All, I have following questions regarding part 6.

A. Residence:
I have entered US with green card on 07/15/2004. i.e., permanent resident since 07/15/2004. I have stayed in a hotel for first 3 days (07/15/2004 - 07/18/2004) and moved to an apartment on 07/19/2004. Later I have moved to another apartment after 2 and half years. Do I need to report the period I have stayed in hotel separately OR listing just two addresses would be sufficient?

B. Where have you worked?
My company had moved an year ago to a new address. Is it sufficient to list the company name once with latest address OR do I need to list it twice with two different addresses?

Also my GC was filed with a company that was later merged into my current company/employer. I have been working with the same company since GC/entry into US. Is it OK?

Thanks in advance.

It does not really matter if you listed the hotel. I personally would.

I would list your company twice with two different addresses.

I can add that too but my concern is will it create issues, when they are performing background check (name check) etc?
Since it is only for 4 days and temporary in nature - should I just ignore it and include only two places where I lived during last five years?

I would not list the 3 day hotel stay, just as I would not list all the hotel names and addresses I spent the night in while on vacation or company business.

Company I work for also has a history of mergers, acquisitions and moves. I listed it three times, as we changed name once and moved once during statutory period.

Hi thankful, bobsmyth, eltoro,

Thanks for the response.

The reason why I was concerned about the hotel stay was: I have entered US with GC on 07/15/2004. I didn't move to an apartment until 07/19/2004. Initially for 3 days, I was in a hotel. So what should I list?

Option 1:
--------
07/15/2004 TO 07/18/2004 : HOTEL ADDRESS
07/19/2004 TO xx/xx/xxxx : APARTMENT ADDRESS

Option 2:
---------
07/19/2004 TO xx/xx/xxxx : APARTMENT ADDRESS

In second option, I am not showing where I was for the first 3 days of my permanent residency.

Please advise.

You did not have a regular residence for these three days. So the hotel was most likely your residence as a legal matter. Again I would list it.

you are worrying too much about this minor point. Make a decision and move on. Either way you decide I do not see how you would be harmed.

3 days in a hotel won't be an issue. You can even list your residences by month/year instead of by day/month/year.
