N400 Picture requirement

I have read through several previous threads in this forum but could not really find my answer. So according to M476 and N400 forms, the picture has to be passport style. Can I just print passport size and style recent picture of mine using my home printer? Or does it have to be professional quality?

If your printer produces photo finish quality prints and you're adept at using the appropriate software to obtain passport size picture then yes, you can use you own. In fact, you can go to http://www.epassportphoto.com/ to resize and print your passport for free.

Make sure to measure the picture for appropriate dimensions and head size/spacing after you print your own picture.

I used this site to for all of my kids passport size photo and did not have any issue with them. I just didn't want to pay $9 for a set of photo.
