i believe i made a huge mistake
. I filed my n400 in march 2009 but just realized that i might have made a big mistake. just a little history:
married to us citizen in feb 2002
became lawful resident in feb 24th 2003
remove temporary residency I751 in 5-16-2005
divorced in 7-24-2005
filed n400 based on 5 years in march 17th 2009
im just not sure if i should have waited until 5-16-2010 to file it.
my attorney back in 2005 after receiving my i751 approved and knew about my divorce case pending, told me i could apply for my n400 in 2008. the IO was also informed of my pending divorce case back then.
So if they say 5 years. Is it 5 years from the i751 or 5 years after you became resident (mine is showing resident since 2003 on my permanent resident card).
