Hello All,

Yesterday I noticed that I have filled my N400 with wrong emplyer name. I worked for a company who has another sister company where I worked for and they filed the GC through parent company and I got the GC so in my N400 application i entered the sister company name which will not match with my GC filing company. I appreciate any advise.

no worries. I had mixed up my last and 1st name for GC info line ..just ask politely OP and she/he will correct it (with you need to intial it).

You Guys rock. I almost got an attack.....did anybody made changes to employers name during the interview. I really appreciate your support.

The first thing you will be asked during your interview is if you want to make any changes, so no worries.

Thanks guju. I thought we can make changes to travel dates, first name, middle name etc... mine is like employer name? does this brings more questions during the inteview. I stayed with the GC company for 7 months.

Hello All,

I appreciate any feedback on this question. Do IO would change the employer name and address on employment history? or do i need to call the 800 number to make changes. Please advise.

No do not call anyone. Just tell IO during interview....

Thank you DreamUSA. Do we need to tell upfront before the IO asks or do we need wait till he asks us to make any changes to N400 and what if the IO does not make a offer to make changes other than name change. I really appreciate your help.

Thank you Bobsmyth. Do i need to wait till he gets to the employment history or do I need to update his about this change. Too many questions coming into my mind.

don't worry, if it makes you feel better, just tell the IO as soon as you are done taking the oath before the interview.

There's no right or wrong way to bring it up. Just remember to bring it up during interview.
