N-400 process with or witout Yellow letter

After FP, most N-400 applicants receive the Yellow Letter (YL), then the White Letter (WL), then the Interview Letter (IL). Is there a chance that somebody would receive the WL and then the IL without the YL? Have you heard of specific examples of this happening? Thanx

CBlinx, I didn't receive any "WL" between the YL and IL. Also, it's commonly stated that not everyone receives the YL.

Actually I believe most get YL nowadays.

I received YL today. Kind of stupid and useless as it asks me to bring DL to interview. Who doesn't carry DL with him/herself? I live in arizona anyway
