N-400 problems

So my whole journey with immigration has been a nightmare since day one. When I was

applying for my GC based on marriage, we never received the letter for the

interview, so we got denied for no show. We were living in a horrible apartment

and the mailman was leaving letters on the front stoop for the whole building

sometimes because he couldn't get in. Mail and packages were missing all the time. Then we had to

appeal to re-open the case and had an interview. Long story short, i have had my

permanent GC since 01/2007.

I applied for my citizenship based on 5 years permanent resident. I have never been

arrested or any issues with the law whatsoever, not even a parking ticket. At the

day of the interview, which was in April the IO was very mean and seemingly in a

bad mood. I got in at 12:30 and I felt like I was taking away from his lunch time.

His first comment was "Oh no, you are not allegeable because it has not been 5

years". Clearly after doing the Math he realized i was.I passed all the civics and

English questions. Then he went on asking me about my marriage and why did I get

divorced. I told him that I went on a long trip to my country and when I came back,

i found out that my wife had cheated on me with her ex.He went on and on why we

didn't have any kids together and stuff like that. I did not apply based on my

marriage so that was little excessive but he has the right to ask anything. We have

joint taxes for the years we were married and a whole bunch of stuff that can

prove our marriage was real, which we did when we went in for the green card in a first place.

Unfortunately our marriage didn't last. At the end of the interview he gave me

this paper with the boxes checked "We recommend your application for approval,

however additional documents might be requested". Then later the same day I

received an email stating that they sent me a letter requesting for additional

evidence. It was also stating that if I don't respond within the time frame they

specified in the letter my application will be denied. I waited over 3 weeks and

never received anything. So I called the 866 number and opened a Status check

request, to which they responded 2 weeks later. The response was that there was

some error and they actually never sent anything requesting more documents. Last

sentence was "We apologize for your inconvenience and we are actively reviewing

your case. If you don't hear from us in 6 months, give us a call".

It has been 3 months from the day of my interview and I still have not heard or

received anything. I am not sure if I should be waiting the 6 months or I should

hire a lawyer to see what is going on with my application? Is this normal or is it my luck? What should I do?

Thanks a bunch for any input!

1. This post looks odd. It looks like it was cut and pasted and probably posted in many forums.

2. The situation described is VERY OBVIOUS and it looks like a troll post.

3. That said, the situation described (if true) begs for USCIS to investigate for marriage fraud which would negate the LPR status if a finding of fraud is supported.
