N-400 Continuous Residence question

Hello,

As I was filling the form N-400, am little confused on how to answer this question: Part 10 --> Section C --> Question 13

13. Have you ever called yourself a ''nonresident'' on a Federal, state or local tax return?

Although I have never been outside of US after being PR, I had to file my CT state tax in 2011 calling myself as NON-RESIDENT because my employer was a CT resident and he happen to run my payroll for CT state instead of where I physically live and work(MO). So I filed my tax returns as non-resident for CT and resident for MO. I did not evade any tax by filing this way.

Unfortunately, I did not correct my employer to run my payroll in MO as that's where I work and live. And did not correct it during my tax filing as well as it wasn't a big deal because I paid the tax anyway.

Now that, I have to answer this question...Should I say YES and explain all this crap to USCIS?? If so, Would they consider this as fraud or something??

(Or) Is the question really asking me only about my continuous residence in USA and they don't care where I lived and filed tax as long as I am in USA and paying tax?? Assuming so, I can answer "NO"

Please let me know if anyone faced similar situation or suggestions please!!

Thanks,
Zyack
