I am planning to change my first name and middle name during the naturalization process and I wonder if the USCIS charges you extra (on top of the $675) for the number of letters your new names contain? The reason I ask this question is a friend of mine who got naturalized 2-3 years back told me the USCIS charged (he also changed his first name) extra for name contains more than 4 letters. Is this true?
