My wife may invite troubles

My wife originally worked with TN visa (supposed valid to this June). However, she didn't work after Augest, 2001 because of lack of work in the company. She didn't get another Visa but stayed.

I hold H1B and applied GC for us. We got EAD and AD recently. So we might have escaped the punishment out of status violation. I strongly opposed she applied for UI , but she ingored me and did this two weeks ago. I was very angary about this. Now it seems the ui officals are trying investigated her status.

I don't think I can do anything. However, I just wonder there is any suggestion?
 
H1 and Tn visa

holders are not eligible for umemployment benefits fromUS govt. However private company UI might be a different issue..
 
In fact, I'm not worried about when she can get ui or not (she has some friends with TN or h1B receiving ui, that is why she did that). I'm worried what she did may eventually lead to INS find out she is out of status.
