My wife got passport in 7 days

My wife got her passport in seven days, and it was a normal service. Her certificate was mailed to us three days later.

I filed my N-400 the same day, but still no interview letter yet:confused:

I only wish the USCIS is as fast as the passport agency.

My co-worker became a citizen last November. She finally applied for a
US passport during the last week of March.(only because she was planning
to travel overseas this summer) Guess what, she received her passport
in less than 11 days, using just the regular service.... :)

dude,
what the heck have you been doing for over a year????? Get moving start calling and doing infopass, they probably lost your letter in the mail,
 
Called and talked to an IO

I just called 1-800-375-5283 and talked with an IO. she told me that my case is still on background checking, and there is nothing I can do now but waiting.

Well you can sue them, but I'm sure the IO wouldn't mention that.;)
 
Hi Fandalou, you should get an infopass!!!!

If you and wife filed on same day, i guess you should get an infopass!!!!
At least you would know if it is stuck in name check. Sometimes they just sit over it.
While getting GC, me and wife got approved at the same time. they sent my wife's card immediately and for me nothing happened for 7-8 months. When i called them up, the guy i spoke could not tell why it was not sent when everything was approved, He said i should have called earlier and sent it for manufacturing and i got it after 2 weeks or so.
For my USC also, wife got the OL, i am still waiting. So i took an infopass, they told me everything is approved and maybe the capacity got over for the date when my wife Oath is scheduled, that is why i am scheduled for the next one.
At least i know i did not lose the mail or its not stuck somewhere else.

what do you need to apply for US passport can you please list the documents you need...
