My status, please help, urgent!

I got my EAD and AP at the beginning of this year. My husband (primary applicant) and I filed I-140 and 485 November, 2003. Now we are in I-140 pending. I will graduate tomorrow!!! I got my airtickets and will back to China in 05/28 until 07/12. But was wondering what is my status right now? Did my F-1 status automatically invalidated after we filed I-140 and 485. Do I need to apply H-4? Is it too late to apply H-4? I am using my EAD part-timely working in a company while I am at school trying to finish my last semester.
Does EAD mean a status?

Is it possible that they will reject me when I use my AP come back to U.S.?

Thanks, will really appreciate your opinion. And I will ask attorney next Monday, but just keep thinking about this now.

Once you have used EAD, you are an adjustee. You should have submitted your EAD copy to the school too.
However this will not prevent you from coming back into US using AP. Why do you need H4 stamp? Use AP to enter US and use EAD for jobs/further studies...
