My oath - a nightmare !

This was the least expected thing to happen - I missed my oath ceremony, because of a kidney crisis.
I woke up this morning with a pain, it was awful, but I ignored it and decided to go to the ceremony. In front of the gates, I found out I can not wait and be able to endure the pain for 4 hours. I was waiting for this event with such a pleasure and joy and how unlucky you have to be to face something like that. In 365 days of the year, why did it happened today ? Why ? Damn it ! When I was out of the emergency room, went to the building, and people were going out smiling and happy, making pictures. They were holding their naturalization certificates in hands, I was holding my tears
So now after such a dissapointments I am wondering what I can do in my situation. I have couple of questions:
1. In order to reschedule my oath, do I have to call USCIS or they will automaticly schedule me for the next available ceremony ?
2. If rescheduled, can I skip the next ceremony (which I know will be on August 29th), go to my country with the green card and ask USCIS to put me for an oath in October or November. The reason to do so is because I have medical issues (yes, correct - that kidney nightmare which killed me in pain today). I can prove everything with my medical records from the ER.
3. How many times am I allowed to reschedule an oath ?

Thank you, guys.

Proxyon, this is very unfortunate, I am very sympathetic to you. But I think you should call USCIS or make an info pass appointment to ask them to reschedule your oath for health reason after you come back from your travel. Good luck!

N-652 Naturalization Interview Results, backpage - the one you received upon the successfull completion of the interview and which you are supposed to bring to the Oath ceremony along with the Oath letter

---
If you unable to attend you scheduled Oath Ceremony, you will need to notify USCIS using ONE of the following methods...
---
All the methods are specific to your DO - their email, phone and postal address.

2. If rescheduled, can I skip the next ceremony (which I know will be on August 29th),
You don't know it yet, since it already can be full.

Contact them, give them the explanation, live your contact information and ... wait.

Upon missing a second Oath Ceremony, your N-400 will be reopened on USCIS Motion and denied as abandoned if you fail to respond in 15 days of the Motion being issued. You would have to re-apply. It is best to communicate quickly and try to avoid that situation completely.

8 CFR § 337.10 Failure to appear for oath administration ceremony.

An applicant who fails to appear without good cause for more than one oath administration ceremony for which he or she was duly notified shall be presumed to have abandoned his or her intent to be naturalized. Such presumption shall be regarded as the receipt of derogatory information, and the procedures contained in §335.5 of this chapter shall be followed.

8 CFR § 335.5 Receipt of derogatory information after grant.

In the event that USCIS receives derogatory information concerning an applicant whose application has already been granted as provided in §335.3(a) of this chapter, but who has not yet taken the oath of allegiance as provided in part 337 of this chapter, USCIS shall remove the applicant's name from any list of granted applications or of applicants scheduled for administration of the oath of allegiance, until such time as the matter can be resolved. USCIS shall notify the applicant in writing of the receipt of the specific derogatory information, with a motion to reopen the previously adjudicated application, giving the applicant 15 days to respond. If the applicant overcomes the derogatory information, the application will be granted and the applicant will be scheduled for administration of the oath of allegiance. Otherwise the motion to reopen will be granted and the application will be denied pursuant to §336.1 of this chapter.

NOTE: In general, "abandonment denials" have NO appeal rights.

8 CFR § 103.2 Submission and adjudication of benefit requests.
*****
(b) Evidence and processing.
*****
(15) Effect of withdrawal or denial due to abandonment. The USCIS acknowledgement of a withdrawal may not be appealed. A denial due to abandonment may not be appealed, but an applicant or petitioner may file a motion to reopen under §103.5. Withdrawal or denial due to abandonment does not preclude the filing of a new benefit request with a new fee. However, the priority or processing date of a withdrawn or abandoned benefit request may not be applied to a later application petition. Withdrawal or denial due to abandonment shall not itself affect the new proceeding; but the facts and circumstances surrounding the prior benefit request shall otherwise be material to the new benefit request.

Thank you for your responses, guys.

What I did today was that I went to my USCIS office, the place where my interview took place. I went to the reception and fortunately talked with the lady who is responsible for oaths. She told me all I have to do is write down my name and Alien card number and write down the month I would like the oath to be. So I wrote - october, in order to have enough time to go to my country and get medical treatment. She said there is nothing else I have to do and they will send me notification in mail roughly 2 weeks before my oath. She didn't give me any receit. My biggest concern is not to miss my oath again, so let's hope these guys won't make any errors in rescheduling me.
