I got an job offer, but my employer doesn't want to pay any H1 application related fee, only willing to provide required documents. But someone says $1500 + $500 fees must be paid by employer, is it right? Where can I find such regulations? What can I do?

Thanks ini advance!

Your employer has right not to pay, in case if he does not want to pay and you have to pay, salary in your LCA for your new H1 must be reduced for the amount you will have to pay for your process.

It is normal and legal.

I thought CIS made it clear that application fee must be paid by sponsors. Lawyer fee is different matter.

Hi,
I had the exact same question. There are some lawyers who file an H1-B application even without the employer paying the filing fees...I just wanted to know how legal that is?? are there any chances of rejection if the filing fees are paid by the applicant instead of the employer?? SFmars, I did not fully understand the LCA part..can u explain briefly??
Thanks.
