I live in San Francisco.

I received a confirmation of receipt Case April 18.
I passed a fingerprint on April 26.

A month has passed, but I have not received an invitation for an interview.

I'm already starting to worry.
Is this normal?

We are in the same boat! My case has been pending in that office for several months. They have a backlog already.

Hi, my friend,
I got the receipt one day later than u, however fingerprint taken on same day. No interview notice received till now. It seems to be loooooong time to wait:(

Nothing out of the ordinary. So nothing to worry. The process is much more streamlined right now as compared to few years ago when the wait sometime was years.

We were in the Asylum Office (San Francisco) today.
It's been 44 days after the adoption of the case.

We have not received an invitation to interview so far.
We asked a question about the day of the interview.

The employee said that the waiting period of 6-8 months now.
I was shocked when I heard that!

The employee advised to ask for permission to work in September.

So the conclusion is to wait?

Can I go to live in New York?
And in San Francisco arrive at the interview.
Address in San Francisco remains the same.

I don't think so

It states on USCIS website applicants should report a change of address within 10 days of such change. Failure to report a change of address is punishable by fine or imprisonment and/or removal.

I was recently in the AO.
The employee told me that I have to wait for the interview day for 6-8 months.

is this for Asylum interview?? if yes, it is perfectly normal. I remember it took me more than 3 months to get an interview and that is why after a certain period of time, they allow you to apply for a work permit as you wait for an interview.
