Must be notarized Form I-134?

please anyone who had their interview in Paris??????

heys you guys

This Dv issue is a real adventure. I already prepared form I-134 because this was what is normally asked for dv selectees. But i received my second notification letter+embassy paper and it says that for all types of visa form i-864 is asked.

I told this to my sponsor and the person sais ok, but still no news from her and time is against me my interview is scheduled on the 03/12.
Worst senario is i don't get the affidavit(864) on time, i'll take the other one the day of my interview .

Has anyone been in the same case? do they ask for financial support on the day of the interview.Do you think form i-134 is ok?
Please guys once again i need you advice.

Officially I-134 is the form for the DV lottery but others who had the interview were asked for the other form...

Bring whatever you have and the best thing is to have proof to back up what the sponsor is stating...tax returns, etc...

The stronger your proof the better chances you have...:)

It still amazes me that the IO would ask for I-864 even though it says very clearly in the instructions of the I-485 form that it (I-864) is for employment based or family based AoS applicants! Wonder if you mention to them if they would get upset and deny the applicant!

I'll understand what you are saying and you are right but after watching enough programs and being at many airports and gone through customs many times...

Don't ever argue with a customs employee, USCIS employee, police officer, a judge, etc..your chances of losing are increasing with every word you say back and they don't like it...;)

It is the one place on earth they feel they are the boss!;)

You are right ... the only hope you have is showing you don't understand and asking them that you are confused. Before i applied for the AoS I was little confused about the visa bulletin and how to read it. That was before i joined this forum. I had written to KCC and they informed me how to read if my number was current. Anyhow, after the response i went to the field office, and the IO told me the exact opposite i.e. the number mentioned in the visa bulletin, every case number above it can apply. So I asked, "So when the case number reads 4xxx can i apply then. And then he realized and corrected. I knew he was making a mistake but i am glad that he corrected himself. Be nice ... you will be amazed how things will work for you :p
