Multiple I-485 case?

First of all thank you very much if you can give me some insight and sorry if this is a simple question:

I had my EB3 I485 filed at Nov 2004. Mine is primary application and my wife as dependant.

Now with the retrogression, my wife is thinking about filing another set of I-140 and I-485 using she as primary applicant(schedule A) and I as dependant.

Can we do this? What is the impact of our existing cases?

Thank you very much.

----- Yes and dont forget to write your A# on your I-485 and she should write her A# on I-140 and I-485

-----nothing, if the earlier filed I-485 gets approved first then second I-485 you can withdraw or USCIS will deny . if second I-485 gets approved first then second will be denied as one can get only one I-485 approved.

Search this forum by my user name. I wrote a lot about this - we do have 2 sets of I-485-s in Vermont

Thanks a lot folks - you are truely fantastic :)

My case may be a little bit complicated in a way that I (the first I485's primary) changed job using AC21 about 4 months ago. Will that have any impact on how we file the second I485 set? My wife is in F1 status.
