Interview notice received, I wasn't expecting to get anything for another couple of months. No LUD or email just the letter in the mail.

10:00am appointment in Tampa Florida, got in around 10:45. Very nice older man came out and called our name. We followed him to his office(very nice building, clean) He swore my wife and I in. He started by asking us for ID, drivers license, I lost my passport, oh yeah he wanted my EAD card( I never used it anyway). He next ask me my wife's birthday, and her parents name. Then he asked me the typical I-485 questions, of course, no, no, no. Then he went to my wife and asked my date of birth, and my parents name, easy. He then asked for supporting documentation, phone bill, credit cards, power bill, joint checking/savings account, ect...(lawyer had it all ready on his desk.) ADVICE! get 3 notorized letters from your parents and the in-laws, we had 3 and he liked that. I also got a letter from my best man at the wedding. All letters said that we were married in good faith and happy together. After showing the letters that was all he wanted, no pics of wedding, vacations. I had no passport so he gave me the I-94 card with I-551 stamp(and a passport picture I brought with me) He shook are hand and wished us luck, oh yeah he explained that it was conditional GC, and how to remove the conditions in two years. Funny thing on the way home, about two blocks away, I looked at the Temp green Card(I-94) and it had my wife's birthdate on it...opps. We then turned around and went back. I explained the situation to the security officer at the door. The security officer went and told the officer that approved us the situation, he then came out with a new card with my proper birthdate, thank god! This interview was very easy, USCIS is not as bad as everybody thinks. Good luck to all....

i got my welcome notice in mail and then saw an update online saying that approval notice for I-485 sent on 3/18... i still didn't get it...
the same stuff happen to my EAD... i got a card and then got an update that approval notice for I-765 mailed on 3/11 and again i didn't get it...
i am a little bit confused...

Spungebob you got your GC after your welcome notice right? or did you get it with the approval notice? And is the approval notice the same as the welcome notice?
yeah, i got gc after my welcome letter.. that's right.
i didn't get any approval notices, except one for I-130...
that's what i am asking about...
i thought welcome letter is an approval letter for I-485...
but after i got welcome letter i got an email saying that an approval notice for I-485 had been mailed... i am so confused now...

Yeah I will Spungebob. So far all I have is the Welcome Letter, and the Approved I-130. Got an email on March 23 saying card production was ordered, and then on March 28 got the email that I-485 Approval letter was on the way. Still waiting for the GC though...... Hopefully any day now!

I would call customer service Spungebob. Yeah I have everything(got GC yesterday) I am waiting for I-485 approval letter now. I will keep you updated. Also got a LUD on the I-485 today, 03-31-07.
