Mr Jaxen, Please advice!! EAD Renewal

I am working on H1B, I didn\'t change my I-9 status to EAD and my wife used her EAD to get only SSN & she has never used her EAD for employement. Both of our EAD Expiring on OCT 4th. My wife went to India last month and will be returning on July 19th. I am planning to submit our renewal application after july 19th?. Is it okay?. Please let me know.
 
Transfer of EAD Renewal from VSC to PHI

Hi Jaxen,

I applied for EAD renewal in Jan, 2002. It was transferred to Philadelphia on Feb, 02. I moved to CA and hence 485 was transferred to SFO but not EAD. No response as of now (07/10/02).

Tried to contact PHI but of no use.

Please advise.

gkjef: Yes she is ok as long as she has a valid H4. Mere application for SSN does not mean EAD has been used.

ArockiaDoss: Go to the nearest sub or district office (sanjose?) and get an interim EAD. At that time you can make sure that EAD is also transferred to CSC or local SC. Take your 485 , EAD receipts and 485 transfer receipts with you.
Also,be prepared to file for a new EAD.

As per your suggestion, I got my EAD Card for the next one year. It is a new EAD.
