Moving to a different state during naturalization process

Hello,

I currently live in Boston, and I have my biometrics appointment soon in February.
It seems like I might be leaving Boston to California for grad school this May or so;
If I change my address to California, does my application from Boston get transferred over?
I heard that there is the 90 days residency period; so does that mean that I would have to wait 90 days in California and then my application would pick up from where it stopped in Boston?
Or, the other option might be that I still keep my Boston residency and fly over to Boston for the interview/oath ceremony.
In any case, I would appreciate anybody's insight and advice into this.

If your parents will remain in Boston, no need to change. You will just have to fly back for your interview and oath.

It seems that it is much more likely for my parents to not stay in Boston.
Perhaps what would be the consequences of changing the address to CA?

They'll have to transfer your case to California which would incur delays. If you could use a friend's address in Boston, you can claim you're only studying in California (which would be true) and just return for the interview and oath.
