Moving Back to Canada, TN still valid

Hi All,

I am in US on TN visa since March 12th, 2008 (2nd renewal), Now i have got a job back in Canada with same roles, responsibilities and better salary, I want to move back to Canada. My question is what do i do with my TN. Can i hand it back when i leave US or keep in my passport then return it to Canadian border service agents at border or airport. I have almost 8 months left on my TN.

Since your TN relationship will be over with your sponsor, you should hand it in as you enter canada. Your TN dies the day you leave your current firm.

This will provide proof that you did not overstay.
