Miss Interview Letter?

Hi,
I am worry about that I might miss the Interview letter.
I have my FP done 7/24, and receive a yellow notice in 8/26, It is now Oct., Still NO interview letter.
I have check some info here, it looks like most of people receive their IL with in two months after FP.
Should I contact them? and what phone number I should call?
Please advise!!!

If convenient, you can make an infopass to find out. If the interview date
is still not past, you can even ask the infopass IO to print a interview letter
if indeed it is already issued but you missed it
 
Also check your online status. Now a days people are getting emails (if registered) saying the case has been sent for standard interview. Not 100% but it might provide some clarity while you work on the infopass.

Call USCIS ASAP the 1-800 number on your FP Notice or the NOA. And if you get useless info with the first person say you want to escalate your call to the next level. And talk to second level officer.

Also make an INFOPASS appointment ASAP. Just google INFOPASS and you'll find it.

I just call them, and the 2nd level officer told me that my Interview letter hasn't been mailed yet,and don't know when will be mail out. so i guess i will just wait..

What does Online Case Status on USCIS website say? Has it changed at all?

I am in the same situation. My FP were done on 8/12, received yellow notice on 9/17. Online case status has not been updated since 8/13... I called 1-800... number today and was informed that my interview date has not been scheduled. I'm in NYC too; my interview should be in Garden City. Please inform when you receive your IL.

no, my online status stay in the 7/1/2009, never updated, I also complained this to immigration. Actually, I have my fp done, and receive yellow letter, now is waiting for the IL.
Do you think if I go for Infopass, it might help for me to get the IL letter quickly? as I track the info here, many people in NYC get their IL around 2 months after their FP.

Yes, info pass might be a solution for your issues. So, make one and head to the local DO. It is possible the IO there might know when you are scheduled for the interview, can tell you and you will just have to wait for the letter in the mail. I think sabarrel was able to find out through a phone call, until her got the letter in the mail.
 
Yes, my interview was scheduled on 9/22.
Online status changed on 9/24 at 5:15am.
IL was issued on 9/29
And I got it on 10/02.
Actual interview is on 11/10

However, where are you in NYC?
I ask because I noticed that people from Manhattan, Staten Island and Bronx are processed faster (they are handled by Federal Plaza).
People from Brooklyn and Queens (handled by Garden City office) wait more.
 
It depends on what is your DO. But I believe if you show up on the scheduled day without an interview letter as long as they can establish your identity they will have you interviewed.

The securoty guard may not let you in if you don't have an appointment letter still you can make an infopass appointment and use infoopass appointment to pass teh securioty

There you go again....:rolleyes: All people who appear for interview have had their files transferred to their local DO by NBC, no one can be interviewed without an invitation for an interview while the file is at NBC. There have been many people who were invited for interview by mistake, only to be told to return home because the file was still with the NBC. How can you be interview if no one has invited you for an interview? :confused:

If you believe that showing up without an invitation can be accomodated, then you have something coming at you.;) Establishing identity has never been a basis for immigration consultation, unless you have an info pass or invitation to appear on a particular business.

I am in Queens, may be that's why.
But some of my friends in Queens, they intervied in Manhattan.
In this case. where should I go for INFOPASS, in Manhattan or Garden city?

When you type in your homezip code INFOPASS picks the office for you.

I think if you live in NYC you could choose one between Federal Plaza and Garden City (for infopass only).

When i go Infopass, which service should I choose?
The one with follow-up service? if yes, it ask for me to bring request service ID? what is this? I don't have this number?
please advice?
