Hello All,

I sent the sponsorship papers to India to enable my mother to apply for a B2 visa. The interview is in a few days. I just realised that I might have made a minor mistake in filling out the Affidavit of Support (I-134). In question 10,

10. I have submitted a visa petition(s) to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on behalf of the following person(s). If none, state none.

I mentioned that I had previously applied for a visitor visa for my mother which was rejected. But the correct answer is "None" I believe now because I had never applied for a visa petition to USCIS, but instead, only to the US consulate.

SHould I correct this mistake and send my mother a new I-134 ? Considering that the interview is in a few days...

Thanks in advance.

Thankfully, the B2 visa got approved. They didn't bother to check any other documents other than the main DS-156. The visa officer was also very pleasant; in comparison to the rude person the first time. So I guess it could be their policy that they deny B-2 the first time that you apply, just to see whether you are serious about the visa and financially capable of reapplying a second time.

Congratulations on the success. For the record, there is no such policy :)

I have some confusion of question 10. of I-134(Affidavit of Support). Here is my situation. We both are GC holder (myself primary and spouse derivative, so filed I-134 for spouse at the time of I-485) and now want to bring my in-laws on visitor visa. so my queries is

should I put "None" or "spouse name" in the question 10. I have submitted a visa petition(s) to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on behalf of the following person(s). If none, state none.

Please reply soon.

Thanks...

Thanks Triple Citizen for quick respnce. But I had n't filed I-864, I had filed I-134 for my spouse as my company was sponcered my GC and I sponcered my spouse and we got our GC on Mar 2008.
So my question is what should I put in Question 10. I have submitted a visa petition(s) to U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on behalf of the following person(s). If none, state none.

Should I put "spouse name" or "None" (as I found from path2usa website that this question is meant for US Citizen who filed I-130 for GC of family member but in other post of some immigration website it's written that this question is meant for GC holder / Citizen).

Please help me out.

Thanks...
