Minimum passport valid time at the time of entrance

I got 3 years H1b visa, the time stamped visa my passport was valid for more than 8 months.

Now when I am planning to travel, my passport is valid only for 5 months, my passport will expire after 5 months.

I have 2 questions regarding passport, please advise

1: Is there any such requirement that at the time of first time entry in USA on H1B visa, passport should be valid for atleast six months

2: If I get issue new passoport before leaving, and attach the old passport with the new passport, would there be any issue ?

At the time of stamping visa pp should be atleast valid for 6 months, but preferable one year.
